Attorney Biography
I am a second career attorney. I spent my first career working my way from being an independent petroleum landman doing "field work" (i.e. negotiating oil and gas leases, surface agreements, conducting title research, preparing title memoranda to assist in leasing, etc.) to running a small oil and gas broker service company to joining a mid-size Denver operator as a division order analyst and then moving to a small operator as an in-house landman. After spending close to 15 years serving the oil and gas industry at that point, I decided to go to law school in order to serve it in yet another capacity. I joined a small firm in the DTC while still in law school to join their title practice. After receiving my law license I continued with that firm first as a senior attorney and then as a partner. In fall of 2020, after building not only a title practice, but one that helped my clients with curative matters, probate proceedings, and civil litigation, it became clear I needed to be able to diversify a bit more and associate with others outside of oil and gas in order to do that. To that end, I joined another small DTC firm to assist in their civil litigation and business transactions practices. After a short, but incredibly transformative time there, I realized that I was ready to take the plunge I always dreamed of and open my own small practice. That dream became reality August 1, 2021.
