Attorney Biography
From working at a Juvenile Court as a Court Director and Special Magistrate, to opening her own practice in 2010, Rachel has represented family law clients large and small for over 15 years. She got her start by representing family law clients while practicing at a student attorney during law school. She has represented a diverse set of clients, including victims of domestic violence, parents and children in dependency and neglect cases, and the State, which gives her a unique perspective from all angles to best serve you in your case. She recently helped found the Southwest Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals, which specializes in collaborative family law, a process which seeks to gain the best outcome for each family based on their particular needs. She has also handled appeals, including one in which a precedent was set regarding payment of fees. Her experience has made her skilled at research, drafting, collaboration, mediation and litigation. She brings an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, and nuanced perspective that bring success to her clients.
