Kayla represents clients in the areas of contested and uncontested guardianships and conservatorships, estate/probate administration and litigation, trust administration and litigation, fiduciary representation, elder law, and estate planning. She also serves as guardian ad litem and court-appointed counsel in guardianship and conservatorship matters.

Attorney Biography

Kayla Nelson is a shareholder of Sigler & Nelson LLC. She began her legal career in the office of the 17th Judicial District Public Administrator, where she assisted with conservatorship and probate matters. Kayla is a member of the Elder Law Section, Trust & Estate Section, Spanish Speaking Lawyers Committee, and is the Co-Chair of the Elder Law Retreat Planning Committee of the Colorado Bar Association. She is also a Board Member of Women’s Estate Planning Council.

Kayla has spoken to the public and the Colorado legislature on estate administration and estate planning topics. She is a member of the planning committees for Jefferson County Senior Law Day and Denver Senior Law Day, and volunteers at Senior Law Day events every year.

Kayla has been chosen as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
