Attorney Biography
Kate Miller founded Miller Family Law, LLC™, to focus exclusively on Divorce and Family Law. As an experienced divorce lawyer, Kate Miller has lived many of the issues involved in child custody law. Kate is passionate about helping you through this process such as mediation, asset divisions, legal separation, paternity, protection orders and more. Kate believes that divorce does not have to destroy lives. She wants to help clients navigate this process as amicably as possible so that they may begin the healing process.
Kate earned her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in Political Science and Psychology. She Moved to Colorado and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2013. While a student attorney at the advanced civil litigation clinic at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Kate argued an employment law case in front of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Prior to starting her practice, Kate worked as a Law Fellow for the Honorable Angela R. Arkin and the Honorable Michael J. Spear, Douglas County's lead judges handling Family Law matters. Because of her work with the Courts, she has excellent connections in the legal community. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the Family Law and Litigation sections. Kate also holds memberships in the Colorado Judicial Institute (CJI) and the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee (MDIC).
