Julie’s practice goal is to provide creative, timely, and cost-effective legal services supporting entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses. She provides practical legal advice and focuses her practice on US and international patent prosecution, US and international trademark prosecution, intellectual property strategy development, and structuring and negotiating transactions, licenses, and collaborative agreements. Julie provides balanced legal advice as well as counsel to legal, technical, and business teams in intellectual property matters.

Julie is a high-energy, trusted legal adviser and accomplished attorney who is committed to providing exceptional services for local and global organizations. Her experience as both in-house and outside counsel provide a depth of knowledge that enables her to provide pragmatic general, corporate, transactional, and intellectual property legal advice. Julie is an articulate communicator that delivers effective, creative, and cost-effective solutions.
Prior to private practice, Julie held the positions of Chief Patent and Corporate Counsel with Roche Pharmaceuticals and Chief IP and Acting General Counsel with BaroFold, Inc. Julie was also formerly Special Counsel with the law firm of Faegre & Benson. Before her legal career, Julie spent time at Norden Laboratories and National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.
