The Respectful Workplace is an offshoot of my law practice where I provide training to businesses and organizations on a number of topics related to employment law matters such as preventing harassment and discrimination, wage & hour issues, hiring and firing practices, etc. I also created a program called Creating a Respectful Workplace that addresses conduct in the workplace that while not illegal, it is certainly inappropriate and often causes a toxic work environment. Such environments lead to increases stress, which causes employees to suffer stress related illnesses and absences. This in turn leads to lower employee morale, loyalty and productivity which in turn leads to lower profits. The program addresses these issues and offers solutions for resolving them and improving employee retention and company profits.
My practice focuses exclusively upon employment law for individuals and small businesses. I have been in practice for over 23 years, and founded my own firm 18 years ago. I have made numerous appearances in both state and federal courts and am also a Certified Mediator. One of my specialties as a mediator is in mediating conflict between co-workers, where the situation may not be unlawful but it is certainly disruptive to the workplace. About a year ago
