Attorney Biography
As a lawyer, my interest in politics and its effects on society led me to choose law as my profession. During my career, I encountered numerous family law cases, which soon became my area of expertise. I enjoyed being able to assist individuals through their toughest times and helping them move forward with a more peaceful life. Emotions such as tears and anger didn't faze me; I was ready to offer my help to those who needed it. I also found the analytical aspect of family law, such as calculating incomes and dividing assets, to be fascinating. Therefore, I knew that family law was the perfect fit for me.
I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree and received my law degree from Hamline University School of Law. I have extensive experience in family law mediation, having received advanced training from the nationally recognized Hamline University Mediation Center. Moreover, I've completed advanced training in litigation from the Family Law Trial Advocacy program at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Volunteering is a big part of my life, and I participate in various free legal clinics in Denver, such as the military veterans’ legal clinic and Metro Volunteer Lawyers domestic relations clinic. Additionally, I have been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and a foster parent, providing support and encouragement to kids in the foster care system.
I grew up in Minnesota, lived in California, and eventually settled in Colorado with my family, including my husband, our adult son, and soft-coated wheaten terrier. We enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding, scuba diving, traveling, and watching our son play hockey.
