Practice Description

My practice is primarily criminal defense for misdemeanor and traffic offenses, and felonies class 4, 5, and 6. I also handle personal injury cases, appeals, and record sealing. My criminal practice is primarily flat-fee based, while I handle personal injury cases on a contingency basis. I do offer low-pay, slow-pay, being aware some clients do not qualify for a public defender but still have a limited income.

Attorney Biography

After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015, I began work as a public defender in Golden, CO (Jefferson County). There, I appeared in court daily and went to trial on domestic violence, assault and DUI/DWAI cases. In 2017, I moved into private practice, specializing in criminal defense, personal injury and marijuana law. I defended and prosecuted personal injury cases at trial in Denver District Court. I also began working on record sealing efforts with National Expungement Week in 2018 and in 2020, I helped form a new non-profit, Expunge Colorado, dedicated to providing access to record sealing services. In 2019, I started my own law practice, A. Moffitt Law.
