Colorado W.O.L.F. is the only bar association in Colorado comprised of all Women-Owned Law Firms.

Our attorney members and their law firms all share the same commitment to provide superior legal representation.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

I joined W.O.L.F. not long after it was formed and have loved the camaraderie and sisterhood at our meetings and online.  I’ve also appreciated the referrals I’ve received from W.O.L.F. members and enjoy returning the favor.  Creating an “Old Girls’ Network” is long overdue and I’m grateful to be a part of it!

Colorado W.O.L.F. is a fabulous organization of bright, dedicated attorney business owners.  There are women who are building a practice (or running a thriving practice) after taking time off with kids; women who worked straight through maternity leave; women who don’t have children.  There are women who have worked in big firms, women who have always been solo, women who became attorneys as a second career, and women who have been government attorneys.  I have met women who have helped me work “on” my business, women who have helped me refine my craft, women who have inspired me by believing in me, women with whom I have howled with laughter.  I have sought counsel and I have provided counsel.  This is truly a group of collaborative women committed to contributing the best of themselves to their clients and the world, and to helping others do the same.  I am a better attorney and a better business owner because of this pack.

Colorado WOLF has been  an amazing resource for professional networking, discussing issues surrounding the practice of law and business of running a law firm, as well as friendship.  Being a solo attorney or small firm owner can be isolating since we have no co-workers to identify with.  With the connections I have made in WOLF, I do not feel isolated.  I feel supported as a member of a community of authentic women who support me and my personal and professional goals and provide resources on both substantive legal topics as well as business operations and development.  There are many professional associations out there for woman professionals, attorneys, etc.  Our WOLF pack is so much more than that.

WOLF has created a space that was previously lacking for women who run their own practice in Colorado. There is a wealth of knowledge among our members, and the willingness to share and teach is something that is hard to find. I have personally benefited the most from personal relationships where I have found support, encouragement, and motivation. These women have very different practices than I do, but are navigating many of the same issues and have wonderful perspective. Being part of the pack has empowered me to pursue my vision for my personal and professional life, rather than settle for what has worked traditionally for (male) lawyers.

Membership in W.O.L.F. proved to be one of my top referral sources in 2020. The members are engaging and helpful and the virtual events held during the pandemic offered a great way to stay connected within the legal community.
